Coaching Background:
Recreational coach for the "Cobra Spiders" for 6 years in Hillwood Soccer. An amazing run of coaching a group of boys that grew from 5 a side to 9 a side with our highlight being a 2-1 loss in the Gold division championship match of the All City Tournament. It was a loss but our goal came from a bicycle kick that blew everyone's minds. Getting 2nd place was an incredible feat for a rec team competing against all kids in Seattle/Shoreline.
A Bit About Me:
My wife and I have been fortunate to travel extensively and we've brought our kids with us on many of those adventures. In 2023 we spent a week in Dortmund during a fan experience where our kids got to be trained at the Dortmund youth academy. We even watched a home match and saw the pro's and the yellow wall.
I've visited twenty countries and truly believe that travel unlocks empathy and understanding of other cultures. Soccer is the world sport and it helps create connections; from drinking in a Liverpool pub to kicking a soccer ball on a field in Iceland we've used soccer to meet our fellow humans.
Coach Mike is an avid soccer fan and had the awesome experience of volunteering pitch side during the Seattle World Cup matches in 2026!
